A short dialogue:

A) Modern music bores me, it does not interest me, some things I even hate and despise.

B) What do you mean by modern music?

A) Well you know, Schoenberg, Stockhausen and all these noisy electronic music. It sounds all the same...

B) Are you sure that it sounds all the same? Do you think that in a wood with 1000 trees, they look all the same? Or that the fishes in the ocean look all the same? Or the stars in the sky? Or that the so many composers of the 20th century composed all the same stuff?

A) Well,I don't know, probably not...

B) Ok,in this case let's listen to a few samples and compare them and then let’s talk again.

A) Ok,let's do so.
